OHSAS 18001 is now obsolete: upgrade to ISO 45001

Better regulatory compliance, fewer sick days, more motivated staff or improved production: safety at work offers many benefits. Since 12 March 2018, a new ISO standard has applied for occupational health and safety management systems: the ISO 45001 standard, which replaces the OHSAS 18001 standard that was in force.

Companies with an OHSAS 18001-certified system have three years from the publication of ISO 45001 to ensure that their system meets the requirements of the new standard. The initial deadline has been extended by six months due to the COVID-19 pandemic and ends on 30 September 2021.
